If you are a shrimp lover and you currently dieting, there is no reason why to do it without shrimp, lobster etc. This seafood is well suited for diet because of their healthy content.

Of course itís always important not to eat a large quantity of it but there is no need to abandon. Weight loss is easier than you think.
 

Here are some seafood weight loss recipes to enjoy:

Diet Shrimp Pasta Weight Loss

Serving: 4

Preparation time: 30 min

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound medium shrimp, deveined
  • 8 ounces pasta
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 ounce can chopped tomatoes in thick puree
  • 1/8 ounce can tomato sauce, no salt added
  • Pinch red pepper flakes to taste

Preparation:

  1. Prepare pasta according to instruction on the package.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan and add garlic and onion.
  3. Add tomatoes and sauce.
  4. Pepper flakes to taste
  5. Heat for about 8-12 minutes until sauce becomes slightly thick.
  6. Add shrimp and heat for another 5 minutes
  7. Douse sauce over the pasta

Calories 377, Calories from Fat 29, Total Fat 3.2g (sat 0.5g), Cholesterol 170mg, Sodium 313mg, Carbohydrate 54.7g, Fiber 4.3g, Protein 32.

 


 

Weight Loss Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Preparation time: 20 min

Ingredients:   

  • 14 oz shrimp (raw, peeled)

  • 4 tsp butter

  • 4 tsp oil

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • splash lemon juice

Preparation:

1. Add oil and garlic and sautť 1 min.

2.  Add splash of lemon juice.

3.  Add shrimp and cook until pink ( 4-5 minutes)

4. Spoon shrimp and sauce over Rice


Weight Loss Information per Serving: 1.5 carbs, trace fiber, 648 Calories, 52 fat, 42 protein

 


Healthy and Refreshing Weight Loss Shrimp Recipe

Serving: 2

Preparation time: 45min

Ingredients:

  • 5 ounces shrimp (cooked), peeled and deveined

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/3cup wild rice

 Preparation:

  1. Take a large pan, add chicken broth and heat.

  2. Add wild rice and cook for about 20 min.

  3. Add Shrimp to the cooked rice.

  4. Add the lemon juice and stir.

Weight Loss Information per serving: Calories 154, calories from fat 11, Cholesterol 0mg, Sodium 511mg, Carbohydrate 28.1g, Protein 8.5g


Here one of my favourite Weight Loss Shrimp Scampi Recipes:

Shrimp Scampi Skewer for Barbecue

Serving: 8

Preparation time: 1h 30 min

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 1/4minced fresh herbs (parsley,thyme,cilantro)

  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 1 tbsp shallot, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1lb medium large shrimp, unpeeled

  • Spinach leaves

  • Lemon slices

 
Preparation:

  1. Add butter, herbs, lemon juice, garlic shallot and mix it in a large bowl.

  2. Salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Add shrimp and marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.

  4. Stir at times.

  5. Prepare shrimp on skewers and grill 2-3 min each side (medium heat)

  6. Arrange skewers and spinach on a platter and garnish with lemon.
